The Boy in the Striped Pajamas By John Boyne
I liked this book a lot, although it was sad I still liked
it. It is about 210 pages it is a reasonably short
book and the font is about medium sized. It is a medium reading level but like
in majority of the books I have read so far there are a lot of boring scenes. The
genre is a fiction historical book about the holocaust. I liked this book a lot
because I like a book about history and the holocaust books are very interesting.
In general I liked the book a lot because of just the topic in general.
This book goes throughout the life of a nine year old boy
named Bruno during World War II and the Holocaust. Bruno’s father is a Nazi and
he works for Adolf Hitler, his father moves towards a concentration camp but Bruno
and Gretel (his twelve year old sister) are completely unaware of what is going
on. One day after they moved Bruno decided to adventure in their back yard and
he finds a young boy and he seemed to be behind a fence. Bruno ended up finding
out that he was a young boy about the same age but he was Jewish in a
concentration camp his name was Shmuel and this book shows his adventures with
him.
